TERMS

Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of travisconsult.com. Consulting engagements are governed by a separate signed agreement, not these terms.

Effective: May 13, 2026 · Last updated: September 2, 2026

1. Acceptance

By using travisconsult.com, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site. These terms apply to public visitors and to anyone submitting information through site forms.

Travis Consulting is a sole proprietorship registered with the British Columbia Registry. Travis Schindel operates it from North Vancouver, BC.

2. Use of the site

You may use the site to learn about the consulting practice and browse pathway and services content. You may request resources, schedule a call, or submit an AI Readiness Diagnostic. You may not:

  • Use the site or its forms to send spam, malicious content, or content that violates Canadian law,
  • Try to get around technical measures (rate limits, validation, gating),
  • Scrape the site for commercial purposes without written permission,
  • Misrepresent your identity or organization when submitting forms.

3. Intellectual property

All content on this site is owned by Travis Consulting or its licensors. That includes copy, design, frameworks, methodology, downloadable resources, and code. It is protected by Canadian and international copyright law.

You may quote short excerpts with attribution for non-commercial purposes. Writing about the firm or citing the methodology in your own work both count. You may not reproduce a substantial portion of the site, the downloadable resources, or any methodology document without written permission.

Resources downloaded through the lead-magnet email gate are licensed for use inside your own organization. Use them to inform your AI readiness work. They may not be republished publicly, resold, or distributed to third parties without written permission.

4. Consulting engagements are separate

Nothing on this site is an offer to provide consulting services on specific terms. Any consulting engagement requires a separate written agreement. That agreement covers scope, deliverables, fees, intellectual property, confidentiality, data handling, and termination. The terms of that engagement override anything stated here for that engagement.

5. No professional or legal advice

Content on this site is for general information only. That includes pathway-page guidance, resource templates, blog posts, and FAQs. It is not legal, financial, accounting, tax, security, or other professional advice. If you need advice for your specific situation, hire a qualified professional. The downloadable AI policy templates in particular are starting points for you to adapt. They are not legal advice, and counsel qualified in your jurisdiction should review them before you adopt them.

6. Disclaimers

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by Canadian law, we disclaim all warranties , express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, and non-infringement. We don’t guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Travis Consulting’s total liability arising from your use of this site is limited to one hundred Canadian dollars (CAD $100). We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

This limitation does not apply to liability arising from gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or anything else that cannot be limited under applicable law. For consulting engagements, liability caps and indemnification are negotiated separately under the engagement agreement.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Travis Consulting, its operator, and any agents, against claims arising out of (a) your misuse of the site, (b) your violation of these terms, or (c) your violation of third-party rights through content you submit.

9. Links to other sites

The site links to external resources such as Vercel and Google Meet. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their content, policies, or practices.

10. Termination

We may suspend or end your access to the site at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the site at any time. Some parts of these terms by their nature should outlast termination. Those are intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law. They continue to apply after it.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable in British Columbia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Disputes will be brought exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, except where a consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your home jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the changed terms.
