PRACTICAL AI · BETTER WORKFLOWS · TEAM SKILLS
Make more time for the work that matters.
I help organizations use AI to reduce repetitive work, train their teams, and make informed choices about tools. I start with the work your people already do and build a plan your team can keep using.
TIME
Spend less time on repeat tasks
Find repetitive drafting, data entry, and reporting work that may be easier with the tools you already have.
CONFIDENCE
Help your team use AI with confidence
People practice on tasks from their own roles, with clear guidance on what information they can use and how to check the results.
NEXT STEP
Choose a practical next step
Get a clear view of which workflows to improve, which tools fit your needs, and how to measure progress.
CHOOSE YOUR PATHWAY
Who I work with
Different organizations face different questions. The work starts with your goals, constraints, and the people who will use the result.
Reduce time spent on drafting, intake, reporting, and other repeat work across operations, finance, HR, and customer service.

See how I work with you →WHY NOW
The work between 19% and 60%.
19.2% of Canadian businesses used AI to produce goods or deliver services in the year to mid-2026, triple the share two years earlier. Ottawa is aiming for 60% by 2034. The numbers, the funding, and your competitors all point the same way. The work between today and that target isn’t a tools gap. It’s the gap between intention and Monday morning.
THE TWO QUESTIONS BEHIND ADOPTION
Trust and utility, in that order.
Every operator asks both questions, sometimes silently: can I trust it, and is it actually useful here? The 2-week AI Readiness Assessment is built to answer both, for your team, with your data, before you commit a dollar to a vendor.
BUILD HERE, CHOOSE OPENLY
Sovereignty and the world’s best tools, together.
No country builds the full AI stack alone, and no organization should try to. I scope every engagement to use the world’s best tools where they fit. Where your data requires it, they run on Canadian-resident or Nation-owned infrastructure.
FLAGSHIP OFFER
Start with an AI Readiness Assessment
In two weeks, we’ll look at your team’s current AI skills, review workflows, and identify useful next steps. You’ll receive a practical 90-day roadmap designed around your organization.
A snapshot of current skills
A review of workflows with potential to save time
A shortlist of tools that fit your systems and requirements
A 90-day implementation plan
A read-out session for your leadership team
TRAINING
Training built around your team’s work
If your organization already uses Microsoft 365 Copilot or Claude, training can help people use more of the tools they have. Sessions are shaped around your team’s tasks, with hands-on practice and a way to measure progress.
HOW WE WORK TOGETHER
A clear path from assessment to action
1. Assess
Understand your team’s skills, tools, and workflows. Choose a useful place to begin.
2. Design
Select a small number of workflows and improve them with your team. Choose tools that fit your needs, budget, and risk requirements.
3. Build and hand over
Work alongside a person on your team who can maintain and improve the result. Document the process and train the people who will use it.
FOUR ENVIRONMENTS, ONE DISCIPLINE
Practical experience, independent advice
I’m Travis Schindel. My work draws on two decades of experience across Indigenous engagement, government, mining, telecommunications, and infrastructure in Northern Canada, followed by hands-on enterprise AI work.
I bring an operator’s perspective to AI: understand the setting, work within its constraints, and make sure the people doing the work can use the result. I take no commissions from Microsoft or Anthropic. Any other relevant commercial relationship is disclosed when it matters to a recommendation.
WHERE THE EXPERIENCE COMES FROM
Twenty years across Northern Canada. Same person, different rooms, same operating discipline. Detail on the About page.

Things people ask before they reach out
What does an engagement cost?
The 2-week AI Readiness Assessment is a fixed fee, the same price for everyone regardless of organization size. Implementation work after the assessment is scoped per workflow, with a fixed fee for each one rather than an open-ended retainer. The fractional AI enablement advisory is a capped quarterly retainer. I share pricing after a 15-minute call so I can size the scope to your organization. For a sense of scale: the smallest engagement is a single training session, the largest a multi-quarter program. Nothing I sell assumes an enterprise consultancy's budget.
What happens after the 2-week assessment?
You get a readout session with your leadership team and a written deliverable. It covers the skills snapshot, workflow audit, tool shortlist, and 90-day roadmap. There's no obligation to hire me for the implementation. If you do, we scope each workflow build as a separate fixed-fee piece of work. An internal champion, one person on your team who owns the work after I go, is named before we start.
How do you handle conflicts of interest?
With a conflicts check before I accept any engagement, the same discipline law and accounting firms use. If a conflict exists, or the appearance of one, I decline the work or refer it to someone I trust. Anything that could bear on my objectivity for your engagement is disclosed to you in writing before scoping. And I take no vendor commissions or referral fees, so tool recommendations are paid for by exactly one party: you. The full standard is in the Independence section of the About page.
LET’S TALK
Let’s talk about the work
Tell me about a task your team repeats, a decision you’re weighing, or a workflow that takes too much time. I’ll reply within one business day with an honest view of whether I can help.
